Juice

The trip to Colorado was great. We got to hang out with a baby, see some snow, ski (a little) and of course eat a lot of food. I made sure to drink a lot of water to prevent the Colorado dehydration/dizziness thing and was successful. Although I did have to pee a lot.
Anna and Peter recently purchased a juicer which we got to enjoy whilst in Fort Collins. We had straight up orange juice followed by carrot/apple juice. I decided right at that moment that I NEEDED a juicer. Yesterday I went to the store and bought a wonderful juicer and a plethora of fruits and vegetables. My first concoction was strawberry and blueberry juice. It was good. My next concoction was cucumber and apple juice. The cucumber smell was really potent so I mixed it with the strawberry/blueberry mixture and it wasn't too bad. I am hoping to use my new juicer often although I have already found it to be quite the chore to clean. I wasn't expecting there to be so much goop left in the pulp tank. I am about to go make a pitcher of orange juice for tomorrow morning.
I finished one of the most disturbing books I have read in a long time. Fish: A Memoir of A Boy in a Man's Prison was very very graphic about prison happenings. And yes, the "happenings" that you are picturing right now are the happenings to which I refer. The book was well written and honest but hard to get through. I am now reading a trusty Dean Koontz novel which will have to be put on hold for the week as I rifle through books about the history of Presbyterianism. Our church's confirmation classes start on Sunday and I am teaching the first lesson. I need to brush up on my history.
Myers and I are 2 episodes away from completing the HBO series Band of Brothers. It is great but the episodes are long and I know with only 2 to go, we are going to end up finishing them both tonight.
Quote of the Week: "Take it to the Limit" - Matt Forney
Current TV Shows: I am all caught up with my shows from our vacation. G's to Gents is back and better than ever. I am recording NBC's Kings. Not sure if it will be good or not.
Off to juice.
